The difference will not be much for the bullets for short distance shooting. However, the fraction can also depend on the caliber you are using. But, the angle will become vital to measure where the distance is too long. Long distance hunters miss the target most of the times because of many factors. However, if you use .30-06 bullet for 300 yards distance, you will hit less 40 yards.

With the same bullet, you will cover distance for 600 yards. What will be the result? The calculation will show you 520 yards of distance in your rangefinder or the calculation result. But, there will be nearly 25 inches difference between 520 and 600 yards.

See the differences of hitting the target? When you are taking 300 yards shooting, you get 3 inches 10 inches vital zone, but for 600 yards, you will get nearly 25 inches vital zone!
